Framing is nearing completion with siding to start soon. Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical rough in is progressing. The project is going very well with construction estimates on time and on budget.
Summer temperatures are winding down decreasing the numbers of floaters on the river. The trout, however, have been rising to eat bugs consistently throughout the day.

Foundation Drain

This picture shows placement of drain rock over perforated pipe for drainage of excess ground water around the foundation of the custom home on columbia street. We are using Gradeline aggregate to place the rock. Next we will place filter fabric on top of the drain rock and backfill to grade with clean dirt.

ICF waterproofing


This is the start of the waterproofing process of the icf basement. First, a water based primer is rolled onto the exterior icf wall. After it has dried to a tacky consistency, Blueskin self adhesive membrane is applied. This will be followed by another layer of delta drain waterproofing product.

ICF Basement




We are underway with a custom home at 410 NW Columbia St., Bend. This lot is a Deschutes riverfront lot. The picture to the left shows laying out for foundation. The home has a full daylight basement that we are constructing out of ICF (insulated concrete forms). The home is 3617 square feet and we expect a ten month completion schedule. I will update periodically as the home progresses.

Here is the Columbia St. custom home with exterior siding and paint complete. Interior finish work is progressing with completion scheduled for mid-january

These pictures show the installation of evacuated tube solar panel racks. This solar setup will provide heat for radiant floors as well as domestic hot water.

Sisters, Oregon Remodel

Here is the view from the great room in our remodel in Sisters Oregon. The tour of Remodeled Homes proved to be very successful. We had a great turnout and took home two awards. The home won "Best Feature" for the 12 foot jeld wen folding door letting the "outside in". We also won "Best Green Feature" for incorporating reclaimed wood trim, cork flooring, recycling, and donating building materials and appliances to Habitat For Humanity.
